On June 11, 1918, Dorothy Hooper, a UK citizen living in Nahant, Massachusetts, was granted a patent for inventing a novel inflatable raft. The raft featured multiple independent air compartments designed to maintain stability and could be easily folded for storage.

On October 25, 1902, Franziska Gangloff, a resident of Rožmitál, Czech Republic, was awarded a patent for developing a novel head for scraping knives, specifically designed to process the wide side surfaces of shingles on shingle machines.

On February 10, 1949, Franziska Herzberg, a resident of Graz, was awarded a patent for developing a novel luggage rack and child seat for the front wheel of bicycles. The invention featured a lighter and simpler design intended to reduce stress on the wheel.

On December 28, 1925, Franziska Joksch of Vienna received a patent for developing a novel multiplication device aimed at expediting calculations and reducing the range of multiplication tasks. This device builds upon earlier innovations, incorporating individual tables up to 1000 and a small set of simple tools to facilitate efficient computation, especially for common uses in small businesses.

On October 27, 1908, Gina C. Crompton of Park City, Utah, patented a novel presser foot for sewing machines. Her invention featured a simple, low-cost design that made it easier to sew lace, piping, and braid without taking the machine apart, and let users work on the table instead of under the machine arm.

On November 30, 1889, Ida Hörnlimann of Bern was awarded a patent for her innovative design of a fruit press. This device was specifically developed to prevent any blockage of juice flow and minimise product losses during extraction.

On March 28, 1950, Lela M. Sherman of Dewey, Illinois, was granted a patent for a novel gauge. Designed to measure angles and bevels accurately, it featured a ruler, a pivoting protractor, and built-in levels for precise alignment.

On March 27, 1923, Mabel Frederick, of Pueblo, Colorado, was awarded a patent for developing a projector that could permit an image to be projected in a stable position for a considerable amount of time and automatically move to the next animation without the aid of an operator.

On June 24, 1911, Madame Marguerite Farcot, née d’Albaret, a French national, was granted a patent for a high-power multi-cylinder engine designed for aviation. Her invention featured a stationary support shaft around which the cylinders rotated, interlocking at their base to form a central casing.

On June 30, 1892, Marguerite-Hortense Lançon of Bienne was granted a patent for a novel aluminum watch case. Her design featured an integrated structure, allowing all the main components to be assembled in a single motion, eliminating the need for separate assembly of individual parts.
