Salma H. Smart, US812305A

Core for Paper-Rolls.

On February 13, 1906, Salma H. Smart of Grand Rapids, Wisconsin, patented an improved core for paper rolls. Her interlocking strip design created a strong, cylindrical core that allowed paper to wind smoothly and evenly without wrinkles.
