An Improved Capsule-stopper applicable for Closing Bottles, Flasks, Jars, and the like.

On May 12, 1900, Lucié Caillié of Paris was awarded a patent for a novel bottle or jar stopper that created a secure, airtight seal. Her design allowed users to open and reclose the bottle many times while keeping the stopper attached so it would not get lost.
