Boat Bailer.

On May 25, 1943, Sigrid T. Larsen of Minneapolis, Minnesota, patented a hand-held boat bailer designed to scoop up water and throw it out of a boat in one motion. Its curved shape let water flow and spill over the side without tipping the bailer, making it faster and easier to use.
