Waist and Attaching Means Therefor.

On July 10, 1934, Elizabeth G. Sonnet of New York patented a detachable waist and attaching means designed to connect a waist or blouse securely to another garment. Her invention featured an elastic, adjustable band that allowed the waist to move with the body, reducing strain on buttons and preventing tearing.
