The device featured a toggle switch that, by means of a plug, could be connected to a support to keep the iron in an upright position or in a working position, depending on the need.

On September 19, 1889, Anna Eyre of Paris was awarded a patent for inventing a novel menu and wine list system. The device featured a bell that could be pressed to request the desired dishes, minimising waiting time and inconvenience for customers.

On August 15, 1892, Elise-Marie Tilghman-Huskisson, a resident of London, was granted a patent for an innovative device designed to suspend a ball of spun material from the bodice or belt of a knitter.

On November 30, 1889, Ida Hörnlimann of Bern was awarded a patent for her innovative design of a fruit press. This device was specifically developed to prevent any blockage of juice flow and minimise product losses during extraction.

On October 15, 1892, Marie Carrara, a resident of Geneva, was granted a patent for an innovative device designed to adjust parts of dresses on the wearer while simultaneously preserving the shape of the waist.

On November 15, 1890, Marie Salberg and Ther. Peter, of Munich, were granted a patent for a soft period pad made of thin rubber, specifically designed to absorb heavy bleeding and prevent spillage.

On February 1, 1909, the Princess of Belgium Stephani and the Countess of Lonyay Elemer, both living in Schloß Oroszvâr, Hungary, were awarded a patent for developing an innovative food warmer that would prevent fuel spills and protect the surface from excess heat.
